The Eagle’s Wings Foundation is a non-profit organization in Mexico founded with the support of UVC (Universal Vacation Club), The Villa Group Resorts and ResortCom. The charity works to help the poorest communities where The Villa Group and UVC operate in Mexico, that is: Puerto Vallarta, Riviera Nayarit, Cabo San Lucas, Cancun and Loreto.
Fund Raising Programs
There are a number of ways that the Eagle’s Wings Foundation seeks to raise money, one of which involves direct sponsorship and donations from corporations and individuals, which are eligible for tax relief. Another way that Eagle’s Wings Foundation raises funds is to receive donations from Universal Vacation Club and Villa Group timeshare members who donate regularly or who leave coins in the collection tanks at each of the Villa del Palmar resorts.
The Eagle’s Wings Foundation also runs a bazaar, which sells items that are in good condition donated from the Villa del Palmar resorts that are no longer used in the hotels. Things like pillows, mattresses, fridges, microwaves and so on are sold at very cheap prices to help local communities as well as to raise money to use for charitable purposes.
As well as money, there are volunteer programs where Universal Vacation Club members donate time or skills to help the communities supported by the Eagle’s Wings Foundation. The charity also accepts in kind gifts such as school buses or medical equipment, in addition to smaller items that are regularly donated like rice, toilet paper, pencils and school supplies.
Charity Work Programs
The kinds of programs undertaken and supported by Eagle’s Wings Foundation are things like the schools and scholarship programs, where school supplies are provided, and even a school bus was given to one community in addition to individual scholarships that help kids stay in school.
Eagle’s Wings Foundation also supports different charitable organizations by bestowing grants and supporting individual causes. Some of these include registered non-profit organizations such as:
