Villa del Palmar Brand

How the Villa del Palmar Brand Came About

The Villa del Palmar brand is one known throughout Mexico as a symbol of quality, security, and luxury in the timeshare industry… but do you know how this well-loved brand came to be?

Where the Villa del Palmar brand came from…

The Villa del Palmar as a brand is owned and operate by the Villa Group. This timeshare company represents a stunning 30 years in the timeshare industry, and it really knows every aspect of the hospitality industry. They deal with everything from real estate and resort development to hotel design and construction, and resort management. The Villa del Palmar is a direct extension of the values that these two companies hold.

The road to here…
So how did it all start, we hear you ask?

Well, it began in Puerto Vallarta in the 1980’s when Tafer Hotels & Resort’s owner and his partners at the Villa Group recognized the potential of the city to be a timeshare hotspot and invested in the Villa del Mar resort. The Villa del Mar was an unmitigated success, and soon the very first Villa del Palmar resort was developed right in the heart of Puerto Vallarta complete with spa. The expansion of the company might seem to be unusual in that development in Nuevo Vallarta did not come until later, but at this time tafer and the Villa Group were ahead of the curve; they opened the Villa La Estancia and Villa del Arco resorts in Cabo san Lucas.

When development in Nuevo Vallarta became very noticeable the Villa Group were quick to stake a claim by developing the Villa del Palmar Flamingos, a favorite with golfers thanks to the courses nearby, and Villa la Estancia resorts there.

Next, the Villa del Palmar brand made it to the sunny shores and bright lights of Cancun where Tafer and the Villa Group developed a luxury resort & spa which is highly popular today. The high-end Villa del Palmar resort on the Islands of Loreto was soon to follow, for those who valued peace and quiet.
